Bubzi is not a "tell the word" type of application, it’s just for the people around you. With Bubzi, you can blow new bubbles where you are and just the people who happen to be in that area (one kilometer around you) will be able to see it, comment and respond to your questions or thoughts. Your iPhone will pick up these bubbles as you move, showing you just the bubbles within your range.
You can blow Public or Private bubbles: Blow a public bubble to:
- Ask for directions
- Ask for taxi
- Ask about the best place in town
- Say something about the food you are having
- Recommend a great spot for a Kodak moment - Tell the people around you about what you are thinking, seeing, doing!
Private bubbles are only for your friends to see when they enter that location.
Leave your partner a bubble to say you were thinking of him or her. Leave your friend
a bubble at a special place in town to say what you experienced there. Remind people
and friends of things that happened in that location, whenever they are there they
will see it.
Private bubbles don't burst, they stay there forever! To blow a private bubble:
- Click the add bubble icon on the top right hand side of the application
- A pop-up menu appears, select Private Bubble
- A list of your Facebook friends will appear, scroll down or use the search bar to find and select the friend you want to blow a bubble for
- Write your bubble content in the window that opens. Then chose "Blow it" on the upper right.
Private bubbles appear on the second tab "Private Bubbles." A read indicator will be shown when there are private bubbles to collect. In this view, you can see both:
- Private Bubbles For Me: bubbles left for me by friends in that location
- Private Bubbles By me: bubbles left by me for friends in that location. This is useful since you can easily see if your friend picked up the bubble and whether he or she wrote blew a response.
